Weekly Elementary Studio (ES) Update

This week, the ES Eagles completed challenges to discover a little more about themselves and learned about different types of shelter and homes.

What’s my Identity?

In the identity challenge, the ES Eagles reflected on their character traits and examined their primary love language.

“My primary love language is quality time.”

“It came to me as a surprise, I didn’t know that.”

More on Love Languages here – https://www.5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/love-language

Writing 3 character traits onto rocks helps the Eagles be conscious of themselves and what makes them tick.
This knowledge allows them to go forward with their best traits and reflect on traits they want to work on.
They can then work to their strengths.
And understand their challenges and how to deal with them.

Give Me Shelter

Next, the ES Eagles worked on challenges to examine the concept of shelter and things to consider while building temporary shelter in the jungle.

“The interesting thing that I learned is about snow. I didn’t know that snow can keep you warm.”

“Depends where you are, I would prioritize differently, warmth, safety from animals or comfort.”

Since we are stuck at home, the ES Eagles got creative building their ‘shelters’ with household items.

Can you spot the instant noodles and Cheetos 🙂 ?

AND is cosy and happy in his shelter.
Bedding provides natural shelter.
Practicality is necessary for shelter, but comfort is important too.
