Weekly Elementary Studio (ES) Update
This week, the ES Eagles continued to discover more about themselves … and safety.
Who Am I?
The Eagles drew identity maps, answering questions like “What are your best traits?” “What are some things that are really important to you?” “Who is really important to you?” “What motivates you?” “What ideas inspire you?” and, most importantly, “What makes you … you?”
Here are some of their maps:
Safety First … and Second … and Third
The ES Eagles then worked on their first aid challenges. For these, they had to partner up and, since they were all at home, their partners were their parents or siblings. There were some challenges when it came to working with younger siblings for some of the Eagles, however:
“My sister won’t keep still.”
“Brother didn’t want to be the victim and he also didn’t want to be the one helping.”
“You could use a soft toy too, if you don’t have a sibling or if your parents are busy.”
The Eagles then went on to research what to do if someone chokes, gets a cut, burn or fracture.
Keep on practising your survival skills, Eagles! Until next week.
