Art Challenge: Making Your Own Board Game
Let’s create our own board games to entertain everyone.
Taking Turns
In all the excitement of Special Celebrations and Exhibition, the Eagles forgot to wait and take turns to speak, rushing to speak as they wish.
The Guide invited the PS Eagles to raise their hand to indicate that they have something to say/ask. This is so that one person speaks at a time and there is clarity.
Riddle Time
Those Eagles who come in early to meetings ask each other riddles. Notable riddles for the week:
JE: What do you call a witch who lives in a desert? A sandwich!
AA: Mr. Blue lives in a blue house. Mr. Yellow lives in a yellow house. Who lives in a White House? The President!

Exhibition Week
The ES Eagles were in high gear … working on their videos, completing their stories and working on the Exhibition site.
This Sprint, the Exhibition Planning Committee consisted of the 5 Squad Leaders. They had to create their page for their Squads and follow up on each of their Squad members’ progress.
Struggles and Learning
While working on her Exhibition video, an Eagle was faced with failure and disappointment.
“She was working on it for quite a few days, actually. We tried to do the shooting yesterday, but something went wrong. The trap isn’t working. She wanted to show the trapping of small animals.”
“Today, we changed to a first aid demonstration, but her friends (our neighbour) refused to be in her video and she was quite upset about it this morning. She had her whole script done. So we are making another attempt to do the trapping again…”
“She cried a lot this morning as she practised the script last night … she kept mentioning she promised a video … and she refused her dad to be in her video…”
Nevertheless, the Eagle persevered and pushed through. During the post-Exhibition reflection, she said:
“I learned that if I fail, I will try and try again, and that it’s OK when someone says no.”
Wow! What a powerful journey!
