One of the major projects released last week was Edible Garden. The heroes went to Urban Hijau, a local breathing example of sustainable gardening just ten minutes away from Acton!
Matiin, the local guide showed the heroes around. He did a workshop on the life cycle of plants, various plants, soil variations, planting and designing a garden… basically, the skills to be a sustainable gardener!
Green conversations…
Literally, learning from the ground up.
Heroes making notes on their observations:
Sharing their garden designs. The heroes considered land profile as an important factor in their layout.
After three hours of workshop, the heroes received souvenirs from Urban Hijau: individual edible plants.
Will these plants survive to become part of Acton KL’s Edible Garden? We will find out soon over the next few days!
Back to Acton, the heroes got back to their projects. Despite a few occasional slips in intentionality and focus, they demanded that they want to have their ice cream party, especially given the vast improvement during the few days.
The heroes debated: Do I need ice cream to keep myself motivated? Their answer: intrinsic motivation is more important. But ice cream is a good bonus 😛
A deserving ice cream break then!
Will the heroes find deep self-motivation, without ice creams in their Hero’s Journey?
In Acton, we say “life is the big homework assignment”. But I think our young heroes still want their ice cream 😛
