Preschool / Spark Studio (PS) Update

Team Building Towards Studio Contract

The PS Eagles are ready to start working towards a Studio Contract! This is cause for celebration that they are maturing. Step by step, they will come together and decide how they want to shape their Studio with promises and declarations they they have developed themselves.

This is a work in progress, however. Only 8 out of the 12 PS Eagles were present on Friday, so the Contract Writing and signing was postponed until Monday.

Drop the ball into the bucket using only the parachute!
Team Building games rely on clear communication and working closely together. Did they cross the river with their ‘magic stones’? YES! AN and RO made sure everyone got across.
Working together to transfer the marble safely from Mr. Daniel’s hand to the basket.

Clean-Up Time Breakdown

On Tuesday and Friday, Clean-Up Time did not work out for the PS Eagles,  as not everyone who used the Play and Art Areas cleaned them up after use. As a result, the group scheduled to use it later found the area ‘closed and not clean”. They decided against cleaning up, and opted to keep it closed until the next Clean-Up Time.

With both the Areas closed, there was little to do. However, the PS Eagles are resourceful. They invented games, used the time to read instead of playing, and using the whiteboard for drawing. At the next Clean-Up Time, all Eagles teamed up together to finish cleaning and packing.

With the Play and Art Areas closed, the Eagles invented their own games. Nothing stops them from having fun!
This group extended library time, played with their own toys and drew on the white board.
Rearranging the library boxes to form a pattern. “Now it is red, green, red, green, red …”
The Eagles, as a team, tookon sorting the colour pencils by colour.

Special Celebrations

AR graduated from the Preschool Studio to the Elementary Studio! Congratulations, Aria! Her PS friends shared their memories of working and playing with her:

SO – I remember Aria helping me for maths, and when we were working together for the Farm Game.

AN – I remember when RO came the first day, AR helped him and played with him.

AY – I remember playing and working with AR.

IA – AR helped me with my work too.

AR’s graduation from the PS Studio was full of love and joy.

Quotes of the Week

SH – I like this week because of the Eagle Buck Store today.

AX – I like the Bat Game (a team building game played this week) and the Eagle Buck Store.

Weekly Elementary Studio (ES) Update

Quest

We are into week 2 and the ES Eagles are moving along with their Quest projects. This week, they worked on branding and company image while tackling employment in an online game named RoboRush.

“It’s really tough, I want to give up!”

“We need to do this now, we’ll only have lunch after we have completed this.”

I learned about Amazon. I always thought it was a smile, but no, it’s actually an arrow pointing from A to Z.

Facing Challenges

This week was a challenging one, as it was a shorter week with a one day holiday in the middle. Four Squads manage to pull through and work out the challenges that they faced, while one Squad forfeited their challenge and was disqualified from the image challenge competition. Congratulations to the Cheetah Pack for winning the competition!

Eagle Panel Interview

Mid-week, the Squad Leaders from the ES Studio participated in an Eagle Panel Interview. As part of the guide onboarding process, Eagles get to interview potential Guides to be.

The Eagles own their Studio, so they are involved in all aspects of it.

Birthday Celebration

We ended the week with 2 celebrations, the first one being a birthday celebration. Happy Birthday, L! Keep that big smile always as you grow in love!

The second celebration was AR’s graduation into the Elementary Studio. Welcome, AR! The ES Studio is excited to have your creativity and passion!

L shared delicious cupcakes with all of his friends.

Welcome, AR, to the ES Studio!
