Children’s Business Fair KL 2020
~ NOW ONLINE ~

Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. Due to Covid-19, this will be the first CBF conducted online in a Private Facebook Group Marketplace!

As a Shopper/Buyer:

  1. Please visit and join the FB Group https://www.fb.com/groups/cbf2020.kl.sim.
  2. CBF will be open for business on Sunday June 14th, 12:30-4:30pm

 

As a Child Entrepreneur (5-15yo), here’s what you need to do:

  1. Sign up here, www.childrensbusinessfair.org/kl
    • Up to a max of 3 children per business
    • You need a business name and an idea of what you are selling
    • Fee is RM50 (See fee waiver details in info-pack)
    • Application Dateline: 29th May 2020
  2. Participate in the Simulations every Wednesday before the CBF date
    • What worked? What did not? What will be different next round? Any surprises?
    • Share this experience twice on social media to get the fee waiver
  3. Open for business on Children’s Business Fair day on 14th June 2020.

FAQ

Q: As Seller: How do I list items onto the FB Group?
A: You have to first join the group, then list your items for sale. To maintain a fair experience for all Sellers, we shall limit it to just three (3) listing post.

Q: As Seller: Any tips on how to handle comments/inquiries?
A: Use a laptop while you are actively engaging with your customers. You should factor some break time during the whole 4 hour session. More tips can be found here.

Q: As Seller: What about payment and delivery?
A: Sellers will have to research the money payment and delivery logistics option that suits their needs.

Q: As Buyer: How can I participate?
A: First, you’ll have to join the group. On the CBF day, children will be ready and open for business!

Super Shopper (3yo & above)

Imagine a child making an online purchase or ordering a meal. This series of challenges prepares young shoppers. They may surprise you with their resourcefulness and joy in making a purchase.

Take on this mini Quest, and you will be on your first steps to be an entrepreneur.

Onboarding Quest (11yo & above)

Are you a 11-14yo, who wants to hone your passions, work hard for a meaningful goal, and find a deep calling with like-minded friends? Because deep within you— You want to feel alive than grueling through homework, and studying for tests.
